Annual Patient Volume: 27,000 Specialties: Lab services and imaging (CT and X-ray) Coverage Model: Physicians work 7a-7p and 7p-7a Number of Beds: 14 beds EMR: Cerner (PowerNote ED) with Dragon capabilities $295/hour Qualifications Education: MD/DO with a three-year residency Board Certification: ABEM/ABOEM or ABIM/ABFM with emergency medicine experience. Experience: Emergency Medicine residency or 1+ years of emergency medicine experience as an MD or DO. Badges: ABFM and ABIM physicians would be required to obtain and maintain ATLS, BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP (all need to be obtained through American Heart Association). Facility & Clinical Details About South Texas Health System ER Monte Cristo: STHS ER at Monte Cristo is a free-standing ED that opened in 2018. This 24/7 facility offers nine treatment spaces, including six examination rooms, three triage bays, advanced imaging services, an on-site laboratory, and will provide general emergency services on an outpatient basis for trauma and observation care.
