Unit Aide- Nights

The Unit Aides in the Cornell Equipment Center (evening shift) are responsible for the supply replenishment and inventory of neonatal, pediatric, and adult code carts and all activity associated with delivery, cleaning, and retrieval of clean or soiled equipment to/from patient care areas/units. The unit aide position requires constant movement and use of elevators as our team seeks to transport, deliver, and retrieve heavy equipment throughout the hospital units (different floors) with the objective of working with our clinical partners to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.

This position will be overnights 11:30pm-7:30am.

Preferred Criteria:

• Some previous experience working in hospital setting

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work on your feet for an extended period of time
• Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as effective inter-personal skills
• Ability to work with computer terminals and/or data entry systems
• Basic math, verbal, and writing skills

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
