Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Days/Eves/Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: - AHA Certified BLS - AHA Certified ACLS - AHA Certified PALS - NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred Must-Have: General Emergency Department nursing skills including but not limited to: - Assessment - Documentation - IV placement - Phlebotomy - EKG monitoring - Cardiac monitoring - Point of care testing - Splinting - Critical thinking - Patient education Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The unit is a 65-bed Emergency Department with a pod-based structure. There is a separate area for pediatric patients and an Acute Mental Health area. A typical census is approximately 230 patient visits per day. Floating to various units may be required. Rotating shifts are required for day positions. Night position does not rotate. Candidate-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Familiarity with EPIC ASAP for electronic medical records is preferred. This role involves providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. Critical skills include assessment, documentation, and patient education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking abilities.
