Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Acute Care (Medical Surgical) Duration: 24 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including 1 travel assignment License: Valid nursing license required for submission Certifications: - BLS (AHA) required - NIHSS required Must-Have: - 1 year of acute care experience Description: The position involves working in a medical surgical unit. The nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care to individuals with various medical conditions. The nurse will function within a team, assisting in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care. The nurse might be required to float to other acute care areas as needed. Patient-to-nurse ratios may reach up to 1:6, depending on the shift. Candidates should have experience with electronic medical records, experience with Meditech is preferred but not required. The work environment includes a dynamic team of healthcare professionals dedicated to patient outcomes. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Holidays may be required as needed. Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. A professional and caring approach to patient care is essential.
