Account Manager - Walnut Creek Marriott

JOB SUMMARY The Account Manager directly oversees one Tier 1 or 2 Towne Park account and is responsible for account performance for financial, guest/patient satisfaction, and client satisfaction objectives. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Financial and Business Systems Management Understand and drive business metrics to ensure effectiveness and compliance. Improve financial performance and profitability, maximize opportunities within contractual agreements, and positively influence forecasting, productivity, claims, customer service, and turnover. Manage scheduling, overtime, tip reporting, and timekeeping for associates; ensure payroll and accounting reports are timely and accurate. Utilize standardized business systems and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Human Resources Recruit and hire the best people for the location, foster an environment that retains talent, respond to associate feedback, and provide orientation and on‑the‑job training. Recognize and develop high performers, conduct performance appraisals, hold effective associate meetings, and practice positive discipline with timely documentation. Service Management Deliver consistent guest/patient service on all shifts. Allocate labor resources efficiently, forecast seasonal variances, and maintain staffing levels. Integrate client service standards with Towne Park standards and use metrics to drive results. Client Relations Management Build cohesive working relationships with client staff, maintain regular communication, and ensure visibility. Focus the team on exceeding client objectives, grow business through loyalty, and create a net promoter of Towne Park. Systems and Standards Fully utilize provided systems to control assets and expenditures, train others, maintain a clean work environment, and complete tasks promptly. Cooperate with management and coworkers to meet internal and external customer needs, treat all with courtesy, and maintain confidentiality. Safety and Risk Management Follow safety and security procedures, report accidents, use equipment safely, train associates in safety, report claims, and cooperate with Risk Management. Follow progressive disciplinary processes and work with HR on worker’s compensation cases. Sales Responsibilities Maintain client relationships, obtain references and leads, advise leadership of client changes, and monitor business for growth opportunities. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent planning, prioritization, and multi‑project management under pressure. Strong work ethic, drive, and persistence to achieve goals. Stability, dependability, and professionalism in changing situations. Computer proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and point‑of‑sale applications. Effective written and verbal communication at all organizational levels. Ability to represent the company with cultural appreciation. Skill in interpreting policies, procedures, manuals, and corporate communications. Capability to compose professional internal and external business communications. QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree preferred, or a minimum of two (2) years of related experience and/or training. Knowledge of general business practices including accounting, human resources, and customer service. Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Minimum age of 18 years for insurance purposes. Must pass criminal background, MVR, and drug screen for insurance. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Regularly run, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally; push and pull 75 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally. On a wheelchair, push and pull 100 to 350 pounds frequently over distances. Work extended hours, including evenings and weekends; travel up to 10% may be required. Compensation The annual base pay range for this position is $80,000.00. Employees may be eligible to receive annual incentive bonuses depending on their classification and policy guidelines.
