Field Support Technician

We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and goal-driven individual to join our production/computer hardware department. We currently have both part-time and full-time positions available: Part-Time: 4–5 hours/day, mornings, Monday through Friday Full-Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday Synel Americas offers competitive salaries and benefits, along with a supportive, small-company culture backed by an international organization. Primary Responsibilities Include: Inspection and testing of hardware devices related attachments Filling orders Repair of hardware devices Shipping and receiving (boxes up to 50 POUNDS) Inventory counts Cleaning of work area General help throughout the office An average day in the department would involve: Inspection and performing QC on hardware devices Putting each new device through a multi-point check process (bench testing) Shipping out product orders to customers Diagnosis and repair of hardware devices Receiving new hardware devices Cleaning maintaining work area Monthly inventory counts After mastery of standard product bench testing, the individual(s) will learn how to troubleshoot and fix a variety of hardware devices that our customers send in for repair. Since Synel Americas has been in business for many years, the variety of hardware and software used in the past is varied. Desired Skill Set: Previous bench testing experience or exposure to bench testing Previous computer or electronic hardware repair/troubleshooting experience Someone with mechanical aptitude Someone who follows process protocols Someone ok with repetitive tasks Someone who is punctual Someone who is patient Someone who is detail oriented Someone with a technical aptitude Basic knowledge of how to use computers and average typing speed Ability to lift boxes up to 50 POUNDS Salary: $16 - $20/hour depending on experience \nCompany Description Synel is a world leader in the development and production of data collection systems and solutions for workforce management of time & attendance, including access control and job costing.
