For more information, visit Chartwells at Union School District in San Jose, CA, is on the hunt for a dynamic Director of Dining Services to lead our food service team across nine schools, serving 5,700 students with passion and precision. With a supportive team of 50+ hourly associates, you'll work day time hours (7am-4pm) in a Monday - Friday schedule ensuring compliance with NSLP guidelines and collaborating with our Executive Chef to elevate our dining experience. Together, let's create a dining program that not only nourishes but also inspires. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and inspire our team of up to 19 union frontline associates. Drive strategic initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and increase profitability. Recruit, train, and develop top talent within the organization. Own the annual budget and control costs optimally. Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards. Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of a dining service operation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Services/Management/Hospitality/Nutrition/Culinay preferred or equivalent experience.** Five plus years of foodservice management experience. Strong knowledge of high-volume food production is preferred. Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience. Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
