Back Research Assistant Grant Accountant Cambridge , Massachusetts Temp Per Hour Aug 25, 2026 $32.00 - $38.00 KBW Financial Staffing is working with a prestigious university in the Greater Boston areathat is looking for a R esearch Assistant to join their team. This is a contract position (potential to convert) that is paying between $32-$38/hr depending on experience. The responsibilities for this role will include: Manage pre- and post-award sponsored research activities, including proposal preparation, award setup, grant monitoring, compliance, and closeout Prepare financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, effort certifications, cost-sharing, and under-recovery tracking for assigned accounts Partner with key stakeholders to improve processes and provide guidance and training on research administration Serve as a finance subject matter expert, advising faculty and staff on financial management across sponsored and non-sponsored accounts The experience required for this role: Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related accounting/finance experience Proficient with Excel. Experiencewith SAP, Cognos, and Brio is a plus Experience managing pre- and post-award sponsored funds with knowledge of federal guidelines Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly Compensation:$32-$38/hr (DOE)
