About the Position

Hi,

We are actively hiring an experienced Registered Nurse – Postpartum (Mother-Baby) for one of our clients, in Walnut Creek, California. This role involves providing specialized postpartum and newborn care in a busy Mother-Baby/Well Baby Nursery setting, supporting mothers and infants throughout the recovery and bonding process.

You will work closely with physicians, lactation consultants, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional patient care while ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Postpartum (Mother-Baby)
Duration: 26 Weeks with possible extension
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Location: Walnut Creek, CA 94598
Pay Range: Weekly ($2,600 – $2,800)

Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for postpartum mothers and newborns
• Care for patients following vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Monitor and manage high-risk postpartum patients, including magnesium therapy and gestational hypertension cases
• Assist with patient education related to postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding support
• Collaborate with lactation consultants and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Pay Rate: Negotiable based on experience

Requirements

• Active California RN License at the time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Postpartum/Mother-Baby experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Epic experience required
• Experience caring for Vaginal Delivery, Cesarean Section, Magnesium Therapy, GHTN, and Bakri Balloon patients
• Previous travel experience preferred
• CLE and IBCLC certifications preferred
