We offer competitive pay, great benefits with a culture to match.POSITION SUMMARYPediatricians provide professional comprehensive medical services for ambulatory and hospitalized CCHS pediatric patients. Incumbents will provide professional medical services for outpatients on a part-time or full-time basis as described in their contracts.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvides patient care to approximately 18-20 patients per full day of clinic as a part of a patient-centered medical home care team.Participates in organizational mission to provide distinctively Christian healthcareParticipates in call, including well-baby nursery and after-hours phone coverage, plus other equitably distributed call coverage, as indicated.Supervises nurse practitioners or physician assistants, as appropriate, in advising, providing patient care, and reviewing notes; assist in the education training of medical students and residents.Collaborates within multidisciplinary teams, including behavioral and spiritual health, dentistry, nutrition, and nursingAttends staff and medical provider meetings and maintains a level of involvement with the health center committees, as needed, to ensure quality patient care.Participates in continuing medical education, including Life Support Training, to maintain the skills necessary to perform physician duties and as required by applicable medical boards and the State.Physicians are to participate in peer assessment, performance evaluations/improvement data, and other activities to evaluate and advance quality improvement measuresMaintains own physical health required to perform physician duties; maintains current immunizations and up-to-date PPD.Documents all patient encounters in a timely manner in clinic and/or hospital electronic health record. Addresses results and clinical communications in a timely manner.May perform other duties as assigned by the Site Lead Physician or Chair of Medicine.POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducation: Doctor of medicine or osteopathy degree from an accredited institution of medicine or osteopathyExperience: Completion of residency program with Certification of Specialty Training in pediatricsLicenses or Certifications: Board Certification (or board eligible) in pediatrics and maintenance of certification; State licensure to practice medicine in the state of Tennessee.
