Schedule

Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. The role emphasizes superior quality care, patient and employee safety, and a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient levels of functioning upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning for each patient, including patient/family education and adaptive equipment recommendations.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and new staff orientation.
• Complete documentation according to Department policy and ensure timely progress notes.
• Promote patient and employee safety within all operational processes and maintain flexibility in scheduling.
• Collaborate with other team members to provide optimal patient care and ensure confidentiality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is required.
