This contract role focuses on providing personalized, empowering support to foster confidence, independence, and consistent progress for a student needing a steady, authoritative presence.

Role Highlights:

• Serve as a dedicated 1:1 Paraeducator, working closely with one student Monday–Wednesday during elementary school hours.
• Build essential skills in the student by implementing strategies that encourage greater autonomy and self-sufficiency.
• Deliver firm, structured guidance to ensure consistent behavioral expectations and successful task completion.
• Partner with a team of general and special education professionals, sharing feedback and adapting support as the student grows.
• Opportunity for expanded, full-time hours by providing coverage at a second school site on Thursdays and Fridays for candidates willing to travel.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (Paraeducator certification, associate degree, or Praxis completion strongly preferred).
• Well-developed, assertive communication style with an ability to set and maintain firm boundaries for student success.
• Prior experience managing student behavior or providing 1:1 student support highly valued.
• Availability for part-time work Monday–Wednesday, or flexibility for a full-time position with travel.
