Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location: Richmond, VA

Number of Staff: 10

Staffing by Shift:

• Day Shift: 3-4 Technologists, 3-4 Registered Nurses, 1 Scheduler/Coordinator
• Night Shift: On-call only

Patient Ratios: Varies by type of Interventional Radiology procedure performed

Type of Equipment: Discovery 740 IGS

Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures such as biopsies, angiograms, and line placements.
• Assist with imaging needs, including CT Coronary, MRI Monitoring, and Myelograms.
• Administer moderate sedation under supervision.

Qualifications:

Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a critical care or procedural area.

• Essential Skills:
• Critical Care Experience
• Procedural Area Experience
• Moderate Sedation
• Preferred Skills:
• PALS Certification
• Experience with Meditech
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Highly collaborative environment requiring an outgoing, self-motivated, and team-oriented individual with a positive attitude.

Additional Information:

• On-Call Requirements: 1-2 nights of call per week and 1 weekend of call every 4-5 weekends.
• Dress Code: Provided scrubs.
