Automotive General Service Technician

Job Description

Job Description

AUTOMOTIVE GENERAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN (GST) LOCATION: Deale, MD (near Annapolis and Chesapeake Beach)

Start your tech career where it actually goes somewhere.

Lots of shops hire GSTs to change oil forever. We hire GSTs to build our next techs. Nealey Tire & Auto is a fast-scaling, performance-driven group with five thriving shops in Maryland and more on the way.

Pay: $18–$25 per hour. Hit the productivity target (labor sales of at least 2x your wages for the pay period) and you earn a bonus of $6–$10 for every billed hour that period. ASE certifications raise your base pay, and becoming a Maryland State Inspector adds $2 an hour.

Your path

• Start: tires, oil services, the Rack Attack inspection, and learning how a high-volume shop runs.
• Grow: hit the productivity target to earn your bonus. The more productive you are, the higher the rate. Pick up ASE certifications on our dime.
• Move up: when your skills and hours are there, you move to flat rate with unlimited hours, like our technicians.

What we need from you

• Some shop experience (tires, oil changes), or real mechanical skill and the drive to learn
• Basic hand tools
• A valid driver's license
• On time, every day

You also get

• Paid ASE training and certification tests
• 401(k) with a 4% match
• Health coverage
• Paid time off
• Free lunch Fridays
