ITAC Solutions

Are you the engineering leader who loves building great teams as much as great software? Our client is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a talented in-house development team building the web applications and custom platform that power their business. This is an opportunity to shape how a growing team works, champion AI-driven development, and help build the foundation for a future Director-level organization.

C2C is not an option with this job opening and all applicants should be able to work for any US Employer without sponsorship. Sponsorship is not provided and this person will not need to require sponsorship in the future.

Benefits & Extras

A clear growth path as the group expands toward a Director role
Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
A fully in-house team with no offshore handoffs
Modern React stack and a strong pro-AI culture
Direct collaboration with the company's dedicated AI team

Compensation

Up to $160,000, depending on experience + bonuses

What You'll Be Doing

Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3-5 software engineers
Partner with product managers to prioritize and deliver work
Guide development of web applications and an internally built platform
Champion AI tools that accelerate the team's development
Drive continuous process improvement across the team
Stay hands-on enough to guide technical decisions and review code
Collaborate with the company's AI team on new initiatives

What You'll Need to be Considered

1-5 years of people-management experience specifically over software developers
Enough hands-on coding ability to stay technically credible
Comfort in a role that's 80-90% people leadership
Experience working directly with product managers
Willingness to work on site in Birmingham, AL, 8-5
Experience managing through a front-end framework migration (e.g., Angular to React) or similar modernization effort
Exposure to using AI tools to accelerate development work
