Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Hanford, California. Start date: 09/07/2026. Duration: 8 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,345–$2,404 per week. Guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This assignment requires an RN with acute care ER experience, able to work in a high-volume environment on a temporary basis. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,345–$2,404 per week Guaranteed hours: 48 per week Contract duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts Start date: 09/07/2026 Setting: Travel assignment in a short-term acute care facility EPIC and Cerner experience preferred for backfill needs Responsibilities Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or an assigned group, following the nursing process and established standards Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; monitor and respond to changes in patient status; administer medications and treatments as ordered Supervise and direct nursing staff at varying levels; coordinate care with physicians, case management, discharge planning, and other disciplines Document care and outcomes in EPIC and Cerner EMR systems; ensure accurate, timely charting and compliance with policies Provide patient and family education; participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care; promote a safe, healing environment and infection control practices Requirements Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) Certifications: BLS required; ACLS or ARC-ALS required; other AH policies may apply Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ER or acute care nursing experience Education: BSN preferred EMR: Experience with EPIC and Cerner preferred; EPIC experience required for backfill Other: Ability to work night shifts in a high-volume ER and to adapt to a travel assignment environment Benefits and Support Travel assignment support with a dedicated recruiter Assistance with credentialing and onboarding processes Ongoing assignment support throughout the contract Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
