Animal Technician

Job Title: Animal Technician
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $21 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite - onsite
Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm; Mon-Fri

Responsibilities

• Perform animal husbandry tasks, including providing food and water to animals
• Evaluate animal health and assess animals for behavioral problems
• Support research activities by providing research support services
• Maintain facility sanitation and perform routine maintenance
• Assist with scheduled weekend support once trained
• Participate in facility tours for suitable candidates after resume review

Requirements

• Minimum of High School Diploma
• Experience with care of animals (mice and rats)
• Minimal animal handling experience
• Willing to consider recent graduates interested in working with animals and in a lab setting
