Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric Med-Surg/Telemetry patients, including COVID-positive patients, on a 40-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring with strong dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Administer blood products and manage heparin protocols, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and IV insertion/maintenance
• Manage surgical drains, chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-Evac), non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, tracheostomy care, wound care, and wound vac care
• Maintain isolation precautions and proper PPE use in accordance with infection control standards
• Float within scope to other like units based on hospital census needs; document all care using Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Prophecy/Relias Basic EKG assessment required
• 4 hours of annual stroke continuing education required
• Proficiency in Cerner EMR required
• Local candidates are welcome

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• More extensive Med-Surg/Telemetry experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted provided recent specialty experience requirements are met
