Ceballos at View email address on click.appcast.io SUMMARY OF POSITION Responsible for partnering with the Nurse Manager to assure department operations are carried out. Additional responsibilities include management and development of the unit, including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and supervision of staff, assisting with developing and monitoring of budget, policies and procedures, both new employee orientation and ongoing education of staff, and management of quality improvement programs. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Nurses in this 48-bed acute care unit care for patients of various medical and surgical specialties, including the neurosciences, orthopedics, otolaryngology and reconstructive surgery. The unit also includes four state-of-the-art epilepsy monitoring beds. Special training and competencies are awarded in trauma, stroke and epilepsy care. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Masters Degree in Nursing required 4 years clinical experience required. Progressive leadership experience required Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
