RN - Cardiac cath Lab

Days (07:00 - 15:30) | Monday - Friday

Cath Lab RN for an 8-week travel assignment. In this community-based tertiary medical center, you will be a vital part of the cardiovascular team, assisting in both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role requires a high level of clinical proficiency in monitoring hemodynamic data and managing the acute needs of adult and geriatric patients within a fast-paced procedural environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Intra-Procedural Care: Monitor and record the patient's condition continuously during invasive procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, stent placements, and angioplasties.
• Hemodynamic Monitoring: Observe and interpret complex physiologic and hemodynamic data in real-time to assist physicians in clinical decision-making.
• Medication Administration: Safely administer medications, including sedatives and cardiac-specific drugs, while monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
• Equipment & Readiness: Assess procedure room readiness, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure all specialized cardiovascular supplies are available for each case.
• Communication: Maintain continuous communication with the interventional cardiologist regarding patient status changes or procedural concerns.
• Quality Improvement: Participate in unit-based performance improvement activities to ensure high-level patient outcomes.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or a Critical Care (ICU/CCU) setting.
• Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN is preferred .
• Licensure: Active New Jersey (NJ) RN License is required.
• Certifications: * BLS (AHA) - Required.
o ACLS (AHA) - Required upon hire.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
