Details Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric population 36 rooms within the unit Day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts weekly (7:00 AM-7:00 PM) 1:4 patient ratio Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Minimum 2 years of ER experience required Prior travel experience required Charge nurse experience preferred Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator patient care, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, triage, and isolation precautions/PPE Experience with neurological emergencies including CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury preferred Experience with shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations preferred Additional Information Provide emergency care in a Level I Trauma Center setting with exposure to STEMI and stroke certified protocols Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for the travel position Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not accepted for this contract Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved, and none during the first week of orientation Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position American Traveler Job ID P-762649.
