• Pay Rate: $60.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 4x10HR, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Job Summary

This is a contract travel nursing position in the Interventional Radiology department at a tertiary care center. The unit handles 16 cases per day across three IR rooms and provides pre and post coverage in the RPPU (Radiology Pre Post Unit) as needed. Workload is Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across three IR rooms with a target ratio of 16 cases per day
• Provide pre and post coverage in the RPPU (Radiology Pre Post Unit) as needed
• Participate in the on-call rotation: required to be at the hospital within 30 minutes of call activation
• On-call coverage runs from end of shift until 0700; backup call backs up the call person during the same window
• Weekend call is 24-hour call and backup call: Saturday and Sunday 0700-0700
• On-call is on a rotational basis; call is for emergencies and to wrap up the day
• On-call obligation includes 1 week of backup then primary on Thursday, totaling 8 call days in a 10-12 week period; may include one Holiday (primary or backup)
• Be available for a fill list in the event the call person for the day is sick (not used often)
• Participate in Hospital Orientation week one; must be available for classes each day (8-hour unit orientation)

Education Requirements

• ACLS (required)
• BCLS (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (required)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Unit will accept first-time travelers
• Local candidates accepted

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• On-call requirement: must be at hospital within 30 minutes of activation
• Call is from end of shift until 0700; backup call covers the same window
• Weekend call: 24-hour call and backup call, Saturday and Sunday 0700-0700; call is on a rotational basis
• Weekends required based on call rotation
• On-call hours include potential Holiday on-call (primary or backup)
• Float requirement: None
• Scrubs provided (ceil blue)
• Scheduling type: Manager schedules

Important Notes

• Unit orientation is 8 hours; Hospital Orientation week one - traveler must be available for classes each day
