Painter IIn this job you will prepare surfaces and apply a variety of coatings to obtain high quality and primer finishes using paint booth and spray equipment.As a Painter I you will:Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning and maskingCheck and prepare paint for use in spray equipmentMaintain and adjust spray guns and associated equipment to ensure proper working conditionMaintain spray booths and associated equipment to ensure proper working conditionEnsure all paint related waste is properly labeled and disposed of and equipment is cleaned and in good working orderEnsure job meets all requirements before leaving work centerMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsConserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsContribute to team effort by training others in performance of painting tasks as neededInspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operationDocument actions by completing production and quality formsCommunicate effectively with others at various levels of the organization.We are looking for someone who:Has a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill developmentIdeally has 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing environmentIs able to safely use small hand and power toolsIs able to safety use spray paint and operate paint equipmentHas basic computer skillsIs able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in EnglishThe physical demands of the job are:Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational TitlesFrequencies - Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%)Lifting Demands: Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis floor to waist with assistanceLift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis floor to waistCarry up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis up to 25 feetPush/Pull up to 40 pounds on a frequent basisPush/Pull more than 40 pounds on an occasional basis with assistancePostural Demands: Standing – continuousWalking – continuousBending/stooping – frequentSquatting/kneeling – frequentLifting – frequentMiscellaneous Demands: Gripping, manipulation, fingering – continuousVariable hand/power tool use – frequentTwo-person tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing including engine stands hand trucks, pallet jacks, and hoistsMust remain medically cleared to wear respirator equipmentWhat we offer you:Pay Range is typically between $20 - $23 per hourPlease note the pay information shown above is a general guideline.
