Child Protective Investigator
The Department of Children and Families is seeking a Child Protective Investigator. This position offers a competitive salary of $50,000.08 annually and is located in Daytona Beach, Florida. The role involves conducting investigations of abuse, neglect, abandonment, and special conditions for children, among other responsibilities.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent and four years of law enforcement experience or active military service, or an associate degree or 60+ credit hours from an accredited college or university and two years of professional work experience, or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Additional requirements include a valid driver's license and operational private vehicle for work purposes.
This position requires night, weekend, and holiday work, and incumbents may be exposed to hazardous conditions in the field. The candidate must be physically able to perform various physical agility tasks and complete an 8-12 week mandatory training course.
