Postpartum Registered Nurse

Location: California

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12 hours (06:00 - 16:00). Weekend work is required to meet staffing needs.

Job Description: The Postpartum Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns in a busy, culturally diverse hospital setting. The nurse will also support high-risk obstetric patients and will be involved in circulating for cesarean sections.

Responsibilities:

Administer medications and perform assessments on postpartum patients.
Support breastfeeding and lactation efforts.
Provide discharge teaching and education to new parents.
Assist with high-risk deliveries and postpartum complications.
Participate in and lead patient safety initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Current California state nursing license required (pending license not accepted).
Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRPS.
