Job Description

This position focuses on postpartum care and is designated for individuals who have previous experience in a similar role. Candidates should be prepared to cater to a culturally diverse population and deliver care in a high-risk obstetrics environment. Registered Nurses will also circulate during cesarean sections.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year required
• Patient Ratio Experience: 1-3
• Charting System Experience: Required (Epic)
• CA State License: Yes, valid compact license required
• Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
• Travel Experience: Required
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP

Skills Required

• Administration of blood & blood products
• Assistance with high-risk delivery and cesarean sections
• Discharge teaching to parents
• Labor & delivery support, including postpartum hemorrhage management
• Breastfeeding support and education
• Newborn assessments including evaluation for hypoglycemia
• Management of IVs and medication administration
• Capable of performing sterile exams and assessments

Additional Information

Candidates may be expected to float between nearby facilities as needed. Refusal to float may lead to termination of assignment. Pre-approved time off is limited to one request, and all time off must be submitted upfront during the application process. The facility does not accept applications from individuals who have worked there as permanent employees or on travel contracts within the last three months.

If required, the client agrees to provide communication devices necessary for the role at no cost. Any additional compliance requirements will be managed during the application process.
