Large groups welcome! Bring your team to work together for a meaningful morning of service. Shift Duties Please note the shift times and duties assigned to each time block below. 6:00 AM — Food Setup Assisting with unloading food deliveries Organizing and arranging food items for distribution Preparing the workspace for packing 7:00 AM — Food Box Preparation & Distribution Support Assembling boxes of staple food items Loading completed food boxes into families' vehicles What Makes a Successful Volunteer: Able to adhere to safety regulations set by the agency Able to stand for extended periods Comfortable with repetitive bending and lifting (20-25 pounds) Able to use hands to handle food items and medium-sized boxes Helpful, courteous, dependable, and reliable Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes required (no sandals or flip-flops). Dress in comfortable, casual, weather‑appropriate clothing: Summer: Hat and sunscreen recommended Winter: Hat, coat, and gloves recommended Age Requirements: Minimum age: 14 Volunteers ages 14–17 must: Be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times Submit a Minor Volunteer Waiver before their shift #J-18808-Ljbffr VOLY.org
