Beyond offering logistics jobs, we build careers and fuel the future of foodservice distribution.What You’ll Do:Oversee and optimize daily transportation activities, including route analysis, delivery performance, and staffing needsSchedule and manage equipment and personnel to meet delivery demands, including special or supplemental ordersTroubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance providers for timely repairsCoach and support team members through performance evaluations, feedback, and daily motivationEnforce company policies and resolve employee issues in a union environmentWhat You’ll Bring:3+ years of transportation or food distribution experience, including supervisory rolesWorking knowledge of DOT regulations, driver safety, routing software, and logistics reportingStrong leadership and conflict-resolution skills - you know how to lead through complexityAbility to communicate clearly with internal teams, drivers, and external partnersWork in a temperature-controlled warehouse - dry, chill, and freezer zonesBachelor’s degree preferred (but not required); management or operations-related fields a plusExperience working in unionized environments strongly preferredAbility to travel as needed and work onsite in a 24/7 operationSkill and ability to:Supervise a diverse workforce of up to 100 employees Resolve and report delivery issues between drivers and customers: other customer service issuesSupervise and motivate employees in a team-based environment Interpret transportation operations anomalies and identify appropriate solutionsPrepare administrative and technical documents and reportsWork effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer serviceTravel via airplane and drive an automobileAct in accordance with GSF’s Values and CreedThe Schedule & Setting:Full-time, on-site supervisory role in a temperature-controlled warehouseSunday to Wednesday 6 am to 5:30 pmSupports a 24/7 operation with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededLeads a large-scale transportation team focused on safety, reliability, and servicePay & Benefits:Pay commensurate with experience + Bonus Eligible.
