Registered Nurse Telemetry

Registered Nurse (RN)The available position is within a Telemetry unit that specializes in MedSurg, Tele, and Oncology services.The number of beds is 27 (13 private, 14 semi-private). Nurse-patient ratios are 1:4 for Tele patients; 1:5 for MedSurg patients.The Registered Nurse will provide care to a diverse patient population including individuals with acute and chronic medical conditions, post-surgical patients, and potential stroke patients. Responsibilities include:Monitoring patients and interpreting telemetry strips.Collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient care.Supporting patients undergoing treatment for various medical and surgical conditions.Candidates must meet the following criteria:A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.Current ACLS, BLS Certification, and NIHSS certification are mandatory.Familiarity with Cerner is preferred; no requirement to titrate drips.This role operates during night shifts with a commitment of 36 hours per week. Shifts are scheduled as follows:Standard shifts are 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.Weekend requirement includes 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule.Holiday requirements include 1 major and 1 minor holiday minimum.New hires will have 1-2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor. Travelers are the first to float. Floating may occur to other MedSurg Tele units, ICUs for MedSurg Tele patients, or ER for MedSurg Tele holds. Navy blue scrubs are required. Under-scrubs and jackets must also conform to the color guidelines.Client Details State CA
