Actuary

Responsibilities As an Actuary, you’ll work directly with the Managing Actuary and own broad range of responsibilities including reserve reviews, rate reviews and rate filing support, premium calculations, predictive modeling and presenting actuarial analyses to company leadership to empower business decisions. Own responsibility for substantial portions of actuarial analyses, such as reserving, rate reviews & premium calculations Perform actuarial research, statistical analyses and mathematical calculations Develop solid data feeds to support data science and actuarial initiatives Efficiently analyze data through actuarial tools and AI methods Automate repetitive tasks Present analyses to company leadership Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field ACAS credential required Familiarity with Python or R Familiarity with SQL Solid grasp of and extensive experience with actuarial reserving techniques Ability to communicate actuarial concepts to non-actuarial audiences Automation of repetitive tasks through programming Sufficient familiarity with MS Excel & Word Comfort working with and organizing large data sets Travel Requirements A low-level of domestic U.S. travel (approximately 5% of time) is required Company Information The Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
