Staff Accountant/Accounts Payable Specialist - 409367

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant / Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Finance department with high-volume accounts payable processing and general accounting functions. Salary/Hourly Rate $30/hr Position Overview The Staff Accountant / Accounts Payable Specialist will support the Finance department with high-volume accounts payable processing and general accounting functions. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential. Responsibilities Of The Staff Accountant / Accounts Payable Specialist
- Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system.
- Perform three-way matching (invoices, purchase orders, receiving documents).
- Ensure timely vendor payments and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain organized AP records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end close and other accounting functions as needed.
- Partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve payment issues.
- Support the Controller and Finance team with additional projects.
Required Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant / Accounts Payable Specialist:
- 3+ years of high-volume accounts payable experience.
- Invoice coding and three-way matching experience.
- Strong AP best practices knowledge.
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV (or similar ERP) experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant / Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Bookkeeping experience with a strong AP focus.
- Nonprofit experience.
- Staff accounting experience.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. xhyhwjd
