As a Project Engineer at Perini Management Services, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

Project Planning & Coordination

• Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases.
• Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.
• Review and manage design documents for constructability and distribution to client & subcontractors.

Construction Management

• Assist with developing and maintaining the project schedule, including monthly updates, and progress tracking.
• Process change orders and manage scope changes between the client, subcontractors, and designers.
• Assist in securing vendors and subcontractors.
• Monitor costs and assist with budget management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Coordinate with the owner and security officers for base access and ensure proper clearance.

Construction Oversight

• Support and oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with plans and specifications.
• Assist in monitoring worksite safety and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and services.

Documentation & Reporting

• Documenting and coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and decisions.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and assist with punch list activities.
• Support QC inspections and ensure project quality standards are maintained and documented.

Requirements:

• Engineering or Construction Management related degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent competency achieved through relevant work experience.
• Work experience or internship as a Construction Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Procore.
• Willing to travel and relocate to near the project location.
• Experience/desire to work on US Federal Construction Projects, preferably with USACE or NAVFAC.
