Equipment Operator (Night Shift)

Equipment OperatorThe Equipment Operator is responsible for the operation of various equipment (Combilifts, hydraulic cherry pickers, forklifts, overhead cranes etc.) within our warehouse, shop and yard.Essential Functions:Operate and utilize the Combilift, overhead crane, cherry pickers and / or forklift to pick up and move heavy objects and materialsInspect all equipment prior to operation to ensure that it has proper lubricants, fuel etc. and to report any problems that will need immediate attention by the mechanic / maintenance departmentCheck switches and gears to ensure that the equipment operates safelyUtilize foot, hand and steering controls on various equipmentOperate all equipment safely and efficientlyPerform rigging duties on occasions when riggers are not available to set-up for certain lifting assignmentsPerform general labor around the warehouse, shop and yardFollow instructions and job assignments with little or no supervisionPerform other duties assigned by supervisorBenefits Offered:Earned Wage AccessHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid HolidaysPaid VacationLife InsuranceDisability InsuranceSafety AwardsCompany StoreEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)RequirementsPhysical Requirements:Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeingTurning, twisting, bending and balancingPushing, pulling and reachingMust be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally 75 poundsJob Requirements:1+ years experience in operating equipment in an industrial or yard environmentWillingness to learn and helpMust be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physicalMust be able to pass a background checkDesirable Experience, Education and Training:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience operating a Combilift is helpfulTools, Equipment and Technology:CombiliftOverhead cranesForkliftsCherry pickersPallet jacksFuelPPEEnvironmental Conditions:80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors.
