Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing healthcare focused organization. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records supporting the month end close process and helping strengthen accounting operations during a period of team restructuring. The initial focus will be on general ledger cleanup and preparing reclassification journal entries.

Position Details

• 3 month contract or open to contract to hire

• Immediate start preferred
• In office position

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile cash bank and credit card accounts
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support monthly quarterly and year end close activities
• Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting
• Support annual audits tax reporting and external advisor requests
• Identify process improvement opportunities and drive efficiencies
• Assist with accounting cleanup projects and reclassification entries as needed

Qualifications

• Senior level accounting experience with strong general ledger and reconciliation skills
• Healthcare industry experience
• QuickBooks experience preferred
