Senior Staff AccountantWe are looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join an industry-leading organization to lead key efforts for the financial team. In this role you will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliation and analysis, and preparation of GAAP financial statements and disclosures. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please reach out to us to learn more.Responsibilities: Senior Staff AccountantPerforms analysis, reconciliation, and review of key accounts and reporting; identifies and researches unusual activity until resolution.Escalates areas of concern to finance leadership.Ensures compliance in accordance with the financial procedures and policies of the organization.Assists in the integration of financial systems into strategic systems and enhancement of current processes, in compliance with corporate standards.Supports monthly and year-end close processes by validating correct accounting treatment (based on US GAAP) and entries, as well as variance analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts across multiple legal entities and business units.Manages monthly close timetable and corporate reporting checklists and requirements in a timely manner.Manages submission of monthly and quarterly corporate reporting schedules; ensures adherence to any new or ad-hoc corporate reporting requests and deliverables.Partners with FP&A and business partners to provide detailed analysis of expenses and revenues to support reporting to business units.Performs review and analysis of operating statements, comparing actual results to budget and investigating/explaining variances.Prepares and reviews monthly financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.Assists with preparation and provision of information to internal and external auditors for the annual financial audit.Identifies, researches, and resolves accounting and operational issues; prepares and reviews various ad hoc reports and analysis as required.Prepares general ledger entries and activity as needed to ensure completeness and accuracy of the financial results for month-end.Requirements: Senior Staff AccountantBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance4+ years of Accounting experienceExperience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP such as Oracle, SAP, etc.Advanced Excel skills, experience with Access, PowerPoint and Macros a plus.
