Senior Accountant
A well-established healthcare company is searching for a Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, multi-entity/multi-location accounting experience, and is eager to learn and grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete month-end close and monthly account reconciliations.
- Assist in the review of month end close and help reconcile problem accounts.
- Review balance sheet account reconciliations completed by the staff accountants.
- Assist in the completion of cost reports.
- Assist with training of the staff accountants.
- Perform special projects for Administrators, Regional Financial Directors, and Regional Vice Presidents.
- Assist in the completion of work papers assigned for external audits as well as work with auditors on any audit related issues.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget including annual tax packages.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all required reports and accounting data to meet applicable financial deadlines.
- Occasional travel.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Performs special project and/or other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. An individual must be able to perform their duties in a positive work mode and serve as a positive role model and influence for peers.
EDUCATION and REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Self starter, team player, strong communication skills, customer oriented, leadership skills.
- Must be willing to travel.
