Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

A growing client of ours is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This person will be responsible for overseeing, recording, and processing various accounting operations within the Finance department. This will be a dynamic role that will include a Financial Reporting aspect as well.

What you'll do:

• Prepare account reconciliations
• Prepare Corporate expense allocations for the various divisions
• Prepare monthly operating expense reports for division heads and investigate variances
• Assist Corporate Accounting Manager with the monthly financial statements
• Assist Corporate Accounting Manager with the monthly and annual Corporate Financial Close
• Assist with preparation of credit facility related reports
• Assist with preparation of support schedules for annual financial audits
• Other general accounting tasks

Outline of Specific Functions:

• Perform reconciliations on various balance sheet accounts and research variances
• Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Responsible for review of operating expenses and monthly reports
• Responsible for posting monthly accruals

What you'll need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Public Accounting strongly preferred
• CPA or Master’s Degree preferred
• Strong GAAP and accounting knowledge 
• Excellent computer skills including using Excel to review and modify datasets
• NetSuite experience a plus
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to interact and coordinate activities with multiple people and departments over multiple time zones and locations
