Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans, focusing on enhancing patient mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
• Engage directly with patients, guiding them through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities tailored to their rehabilitation needs.
• Educate patients about proper body mechanics and home exercise programs that facilitate their recovery beyond the clinic.
• Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking important metrics like range of motion, strength gains, and functional improvements.
• Maintain an organized treatment area by preparing equipment and ensuring therapy supplies are readily available for sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, providing support and insight to optimize treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program leading to an Associate degree.

Compensation and Benefits
