Pharmacy Technician - Prescription Data Entry (25 Week Contract)

**Location:** San Antonio, Texas (Onsite Training, Remote Opportunity After Training)

Pay Information

$18.59 - $19.94 an hour

Position Overview

We are seeking **Registered Pharmacy Technicians** for a temporary **Prescription Data Entry** position. This role is focused exclusively on entering prescription information accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Candidates will complete an initial onsite training period of approximately **4-6 weeks** before becoming eligible to transition to a remote work environment based on performance and successful completion of training.

Please note: This is a temporary assignment and is not currently intended to convert to a permanent position.

Qualifications

* Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Texas (required)

* Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred/required per state guidelines

* 3-6 months of pharmacy technician experience

* High school diploma or GED (verifiable)

* Must reside in Texas

* Strong data entry and computer skills

* Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

Schedule

Training (Onsite)

Monday-Friday

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Regular Schedule

Monday-Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

* Enter prescription information accurately while maintaining compliance with pharmacy regulations and company procedures.

* Review and interpret prescription information and medication terminology.

* Assist with insurance verification and resolve insurance-related questions.

* Answer customer questions regarding over-the-counter (OTC) medications and products.

* Process payments, insurance claims, and copayments.

* Maintain pharmacy inventory and stock of OTC products.

* Protect patient confidentiality and comply with all pharmacy regulations.

* Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff to ensure timely prescription processing.

Remote Work Requirements

To be eligible for remote work, candidates must have:

* A private, distraction-free workspace with a door.

* A desk and ergonomic chair.

* High-speed internet with a **hardwired Ethernet connection** (Wi-Fi and satellite internet are not permitted).

* Minimum internet speeds of **25 Mbps download** and **3 Mbps upload**.
