R&D Manager

- 6 month contract based in New York City within Research & Development.
- Opportunity to work for a leading food production company.
- Conduct research and development to create innovative solutions in the Engineering & Manufacturing department.
- Lead end-to-end new product development projects from concept through commercialization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and test prototypes for new products or processes.
- Analyze data and provide insights to enhance product performance and efficiency.
- Prepare product documentation and reports to support project progress and findings.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines throughout the development cycle.
- Contribute to generating new ideas and approaches.
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion of objectives.
- Support troubleshooting and optimization efforts for existing products and systems.
The Successful Applicant A successful R&D professional should have:
- Strong technical knowledge in Engineering & Manufacturing principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field.
- Product development experience in CPG food.
- Experience taking products from concept to commercialization (lab to shelf).
- Strong knowledge of food formulation, processing, labeling, and regulatory compliance.
- Software proficiency.
- Proficiency in research methodologies and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for documentation and reporting.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and innovation.
- 6 month contract with potential extension.
- Hourly rate starting at $60 per hour.
- Hybrid in New York City.
