Job Title: RN CVICU Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - Impella experience - IABP experience - LVAD experience - NxStage experience preferred Description: Seeking a competent CVICU RN to care for both cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients. The unit treats patients with devices such as Impella, IABP, LVAD, and NxStage. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1, including patients with device support. Candidates must possess experience in managing high-acuity patients and use advanced cardiac devices. Strong critical thinking and clinical skills are essential for success in this role. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality care. Maintaining a collaborative approach with the healthcare team is vital for patient outcomes.
