Locate broken or worn equipment through inspections, observations and tests.Test installed equipment and plumbing upon completion.Follow blue prints and equipment literature for repairs.Trouble shoot sprinkler systems, medical gas systems, deionized water systems, sewage systems, steams and condensate systems and equipment.Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Work requires elementary technical training such as that which would be acquired in the first year of college or technical school.Licensed as a journeyman plumberTwo years experience in the repair and testing and installation of plumbing equipment and systems.Certified to install medical gas systems, preferred.Good knowledge of theories and principles of plumbing, piping diagrams for repair and troubleshooting.Valid Driver's/Chauffeurs License required, must meet Mercy's Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, must be at least 18 years of age and be eligible to drive per Iowa state law.Physical Activity Requirements:ConstantStanding: Particularly for sustained periods of time. When moving furniture, materials or equipment from one location to another.Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.OccasionalFeeling: Perceiving attributes to objects, such as skin, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips, as when wiring.Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
