Preferred Care at Old Bridge is looking to hire a Unit Clerk. We are a 140 bed Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care facility located in Old Bridge NJ. The Unit Clerk performs secretarial, receptionist, and clerical duties to support the nursing unit and/or assisted care or assisted living facility.
Prior healthcare experience is required. CNA experience is a plus.
The position is a Full Time position, Monday through Friday.
Unit Clerk Responsibilities include:
- Maintain charts in proper sequence and thin according to policy.
- Obtain all pertinent information and appropriate paperwork for new admissions and prepare a new medical chart.
- Schedule resident appointments in a timely manner.
- Complete and distribute appropriate reports
- File all records in appropriate alphabetical format
- Maintain nurses station, including forms, files, drawers, and cabinets in an orderly fashion
- Maintain accurate records of resident's appointments and work orders
