The Best Players Need the Best People.This position serves as Tournament Director for one of the TOUR’s premier professional golf events. This includes being responsible for the full planning, execution, and operational delivery of the tournament. This role translates strategic direction into a best-in-class event across all dimensions, including broadcast, operations, hospitality, sponsorship activation, player services, safety, and fan experience. This role is accountable for delivering the event to the highest standard, ensuring all components operate in a coordinated, disciplined, and high-performing manner.Qualifications12+ years of progressive leadership experience in sports, hospitality, large-scale event operations, venue management, or related industries, with demonstrated responsibility for complex, multi-functional operationsProven experience leading the execution of complex, high-profile events with significant operational and revenue componentsStrong operational leadership with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environmentExperience working with high-profile stakeholders, sponsors, and partnersFinancial acumen with experience managing event budgets and delivering against revenue-driven objectivesExceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience navigating public/private partnerships, including engagement with local, regional, or state government entitiesResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end planning and execution of the tournament, ensuring seamless delivery across all functional areasTranslate strategic priorities set into detailed operating plans and execution frameworksEstablish and maintain a disciplined planning cadence, ensuring readiness across all phases of the event lifecycleEnsure alignment and integration across operations, hospitality, player services, safety, and on-site experienceExecute against the commercial strategy established in partnership with commercial and PGA TOUR Events revenue leadership teamsPartner closely with sales teams to operationalize hospitality, sponsorship, and activation programs at the highest levelEnsure all revenue-generating elements are delivered with precision, quality, and a premium experience standardTrack performance metrics and provide insights to inform ongoing strategy and future growthServe as the day-to-day operational lead for key stakeholders, including title sponsor/s, governing body, players, media, and partnersEnsure flawless execution of all partnership elements, delivering against contractual commitments and experience expectationsMaintaining strong executive-level relationships by ensuring consistent, high-quality deliveryEngage with local community stakeholders and volunteers to reinforce positive event impact and reputationDevelop and manage the tournament operating plan, including timelines, staffing plans, and resource allocationOversee event budgets ensuring disciplined cost management and execution efficiencyLead the development and execution of a comprehensive volunteer program across all functional areasImplement and manage an effective committee structure, ensuring clear accountability and consistent progressEnsure all safety, security, and compliance protocols are executed to the highest standardDrive excellence in all aspects of the on-site experience, ensuring a cohesive and elevated environment for all constituentsIdentify opportunities to enhance operations, hospitality, and fan engagement within the strategic direction set by leadershipCapture post-event insights and lead continuous improvement efforts to strengthen future deliveryLead and develop a high-performing event team, establishing clear roles, expectations and accountabilityFoster a culture of ownership, urgency, and execution excellenceProvide hands-on leadership throughout the planning cycle and on-site executionLead special projects, as required #J-18808-Ljbffr
