Business Analyst

Turn business needs into solutions that move payments forward.SegPay is looking for a Business Analyst to join our Product & Technology team and serve as a key connection between business stakeholders and our technical teams.In this role, you'll help translate complex business and payment-processing needs into clear requirements, user stories, workflows, and actionable solutions. You'll work closely with Product Owners, Development, and QA throughout the software development lifecycle-from defining requirements through testing and implementation.If you're analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoy turning complex processes into clear solutions, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoPartner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirementsCreate user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentationPartner with Product Owners to maintain and refine the product backlogFacilitate requirements discussions and workshops with business and technical teamsAnalyze payment and financial processes, including settlement, chargebacks, reconciliation, and feesDevelop test plans and test cases based on business requirementsCoordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Identify, document, and help resolve defectsCreate process and data maps to support system improvementsAssist with root-cause analysis of production issuesProvide project updates and support training or knowledge-transfer activitiesThe role combines requirements analysis, payment-process analysis, testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the SDLC.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience3–5 years of Business Analyst experience, preferably within payments, financial services, or fintechStrong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirementsExperience creating user stories and acceptance criteriaExperience working in an Agile environment and partnering with Product OwnersExperience with software testing and UATStrong understanding of payment workflows and financial transaction processesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skillsEven Better If You HaveExperience working with financial transactional data, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, advanced Excel, or SQL would be especially valuable in this position.The Kind of Business Analyst Who Thrives HereYou're naturally curious and aren't afraid to ask questions until you understand both the business need and the technical impact.You can take a complicated process and make it understandable.
