This role involves building and maintaining test infrastructure, fabricating advanced test articles, collaborating with engineering teams on system improvements, and mentoring junior technicians. This role is based on site at our Austin, TX HQ Campus./ph3Responsibilities:/h3ulliLead setup, operation, and troubleshooting of mechanical, fluid, and electro-mechanical test systems./liliSupport development and implementation of ICONs test infrastructure, including test stands, fluid systems, and processes./liliFabricate and integrate test articles and equipment: fluid panels, actuators, motors, gears, electrical cabinets, PLCs, and welded assemblies./liliCollaborate with engineering to develop system upgrades, maintain documentation, and analyze test data with actionable recommendations./liliMentor and guide junior Product Test Technicians./liliTravel to ICON job sites to support on-site testing, repair, and troubleshooting./li/ulh3Minimum Qualifications:/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent (Associates in mechatronics, mechanical engineering technology, or relevant field preferred)./lili3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or fluid system testing./liliStrong fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting skills./liliAbility to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation./liliExperience with mechanical tools, welding, fasteners, and gear assemblies./liliIntermediate proficiency with PLC systems (Beckhoff Twincat preferred)./liliStrong collaboration, communication, and mentorship skills./liliExperience with pumps, AC motors, gears, air compressors, pressure vessels, and lifting equipment./liliWelding experience (AC Aluminum, DC Steel)./liliPrior experience in aerospace, military/defense, aircraft, construction, or similar industries./liliAP license or technician certification./li/ulh3Physical and Environmental Requirements:/h3ulliAbility to lift up to 50 pounds./liliStrong verbal and written communication skills./liliAbility to work in extreme environments, including high or low temperatures, sun, rain, mud, or areas without electricity./liliComfortable with hands-on, field-based work./li/ulpICON is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an innovative, inclusive, diverse and discrimination-free work environment.
