JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide services focused on understanding, improving, and maintaining positive behaviors while reducing problem behaviors. This role is grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a research-based approach to behavior change.

The BCBA will assess behavioral needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support individuals across various settings.

JOB DUTIES

Core responsibilities include:

• Behavior Assessment & Analysis – Observe individuals in natural settings (home, school, or community) to determine the function of behaviors and identify triggers.
• Individualized Behavior Plans – Develop tailored treatment plans to teach new skills and replace maladaptive behaviors with appropriate alternatives.
• Skill Development – Teach communication, social, self-care, and academic skills, particularly for individuals with autism or developmental delays.
• Behavior Support Programs – Implement structured interventions to improve behavior regulation, reduce challenging behaviors, and promote independence.
• Progress Monitoring – Collect and analyze data to track outcomes, adjust interventions, and ensure goals are being met.
• Supervision & Training – Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other staff implementing behavior-analytic interventions.
• Collaboration – Work closely with caregivers, teachers, therapists, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
• Specialized Interventions – Address behavioral needs related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and other behavioral health conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in a BACB-approved program
• Completion of required supervised experience hours and successful passage of the BCBA exam
• Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or eligibility for certification
• Licensure as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Illinois (or willingness to obtain) preferred
• Experience working with neurodiverse individuals across various age groups
• Knowledge of co-occurring conditions such as ADHD, anxiety disorders, PTSD, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and behavior modification strategies

Preferred Experience

• Experience in clinical, educational, residential, or community-based settings
• Knowledge of assistive technology and alternative communication methods
• Experience supporting families and caregivers through education and training
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus

SMART GOALS

• Assist in developing a robust behavior analysis program.
• Collaborate effectively with medical teams and stakeholders to support referral and treatment planning processes.
• Ensure 100% compliance with documentation standards and submit required reports monthly.
• Support implementation of the ABA service line within 90 days of hire.
• Participate in at least one professional development opportunity annually and maintain BCBA certification, including ethics and supervision requirements.

Occupational Risk for Exposure to TB:

There is an occupational risk for exposure to TB, as this position involves extensive community and patient contact. Employees in this role are required to comply with annual TB testing as part of workplace health and safety protocols. The only acceptable exceptions to this requirement are documented medical contraindications or religious objections. Employees who decline TB testing will be required to wear a mask when deemed necessary.
