About This Role

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 3 and early 4-year-olds. Your main responsibilities will include teaching children about basic fundamentals and learning domains such as physical development, social development, approaches to play/learning, language and literacy, early math skills, art, and sciences, and maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment for all students.

• This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with a 35-40 hour workweek.

What You'll Do

• Adapt your teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and interests of children
• Play a key role in shaping a positive and supportive classroom community by developing and maintaining relationships with children and parents
• Teach children various skills and concepts, including those related to physical development, social development, language and literacy, early math skills, art, and sciences
• Manage classroom activities, including lessons, playtime, breaks, and meals, to ensure a smooth and enjoyable learning environment
• Keep children safe and engaged at all times, providing close supervision and support as needed
• Create a clean and tidy classroom environment that is conducive to learning and play
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement effective lesson plans and educational activities
• Encourage children to interact with each other, promoting social skills and a sense of community
• Organize and maintain an inventory system for classroom materials and supplies
• Plan and facilitate various activities, such as songs, games, and storytelling, to enhance children's learning and development
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times
• Support children in reaching their developmental milestones and achieving their full potential

Requirements

• Be able to sit on the floor with children
• Have a High School diploma or GED
• Be able to lift small children and physically agile
• Must pass a Bright From the Start Background Check

Nice To Haves

• A CDA Credential is a plus, as is bilingual proficiency or experience with Quality Rated Standards
• Either prior experience or willingness to complete training in CPR/First Aid is beneficial
• Nice to have a Military Friendly background and/or experience working with military families
