Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Director of Clinical Affairs on behalf of a mission-driven organization providing behavioral health and supportive services to vulnerable populations throughout Los Angeles County. Position Overview
Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Director of Clinical Affairs will provide strategic and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary clinical team of approximately 25 Clinical Supervisors, Clinicians, Associate Clinicians, and Quality Assurance staff. This individual will champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth while ensuring clinical excellence and regulatory compliance across programs.

Position Overview

This individual will champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth while ensuring clinical excellence and regulatory compliance across programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, supervision, and performance management to clinical staff across multiple sites.
- Develop and strengthen systems that support clinician onboarding, mentorship, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
- Establish and maintain clinical quality assurance processes, including documentation reviews, audits, corrective action plans, and performance monitoring.
- Monitor CHAMP compliance and implement systems that promote consistent adherence to documentation standards.
- Design and facilitate training initiatives focused on trauma-informed care, Housing First, Harm Reduction, ethics, crisis intervention, and evidence-based practices.
- Partner effectively with Nursing, Operations, Oversight, and Program leadership to support coordinated service delivery and positive cross-functional relationships.
- Address performance concerns promptly and objectively while fostering a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
- Track clinical outcomes and performance indicators, identifying opportunities to enhance service quality and effectiveness.
- Exercise hiring, coaching, disciplinary, and termination authority related to clinical staff.
- Support organizational growth initiatives by ensuring the clinical infrastructure can scale effectively.
- Active California licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or PsyD required.
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience within behavioral health settings.
- At least 4 years of leadership experience managing clinical teams .
- Demonstrated success building clinical supervision structures and quality assurance systems.
- Experience supporting and developing associate clinicians through mentorship and structured supervision.
- Experience serving populations impacted by homelessness, severe mental illness, substance use disorders, or justice involvement strongly preferred.
- Competitive salary of $150,000 - $170,000 annually , commensurate with experience.
