Details Work in a 20-bed adult Surgical ICU within the Department of Surgery Diverse patient population including trauma, GI surgery, ortho/neuro spine, transplant, vascular, surgical ENT, and general surgery cases Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM 36 hours per week with hours not guaranteed Weekend requirement of 3 out of 6 weekends per 6-week schedule Call requirement of 2 AVL call shifts per 6-week schedule Float as needed to areas of like skill set Holiday coverage required as needed Requirements Active RN license (MD or Compact) required Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of current, strong Surgical ICU experience required Critical Care Certification, trauma course completion, ACLS, and EPIC experience preferred 2 previous travel assignments preferred Experience at a comparable facility size preferred, with 500 bed facility experience preferred for large academic centers Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to ICU and post-surgical ICU patients across multiple surgical specialties Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month Local candidates accepted at the same rate for most facilities Strong candidates preferred for main campus assignments American Traveler Job ID P-748552.
